What Path To Follow?

Isaiah 48:17 NLT This is what the Lord says—your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:
“I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is good for you and leads you along the paths you should follow. 

When I feel like I'm melting away in my thoughts that have spun out-of-control I need GOD! 

He is the one that can teach me because I can't even sit still. 

He will come to me on the paths I am on - working, driving, grocery shopping, looking at social media - to interrupt and stop me in my tracks.  

God will put the pothole in my path to jolt me awake to His presence to wake me up to where He wants me to go. 

He teaches me what is good, and I know it full well, yet I take my own course of action.  

He leads me when I follow BUT the key is sensing Him enough to follow - - 

When the tears come, or the anger surfaces......this is the time to STOP - - this is God's nudge from hitting the pothole, waking me up from the slumber of self-will run riot.  Letting the tears cleanse me, to cry out to God, looking up to the sky, to the beauty of nature, to the silence of a quiet space to let him touch me and love me.

God's mercy guides me like a lost puppy that's surrendered to the adventure of freedom to dart and go where I've wanted for a short time, to my faithful owner's leading back home, on the right path.

I know the path I SHOULD follow........God keep leading the way.
